Back about eight years ago, I joined Water Doctors. Before this, I had been an HR Director for a foster care ministry in Florida. But the Lord directed us to come up to NC. I had been pursuing HR positions but to no avail. Meanwhile, the family Pilot sprung a leak and began to stink. No mechanic wanted to touch it. Finally, I got in touch with Todd from Water Doctors. Keep in mind, I thought I was getting lined up to have my vehicle repaired. I remember him saying to me, “if the only thing keeping you from Charlotte is work, I might have something for you.” Having a supportive wife who believes I can do anything, made it possible to switch careers and take on the Charlotte territory for Water Doctors.
The last time I had changed oil in a car, I was in my teens. So this was a tremendous change. However, now we can honestly say this has been the best thing for us as a family. My wife gets to stay home with my 3 sons. I have one guy working for me. Between the two of us we cover the area and fill the needs of our dealers. At some point, we’ll expand to include more territories and possibly I’ll relax back to 25 hours a week on the business and put my other hours into other endeavors.
